Senior Backend Engineer (Python & AWS)
Client based in Australia
Full-time, Mon-Fri (6am – 3pm PH Time)
Key Responsibility:
Software Engineering & Architecture
- Contribute to the design and architecture of scalable cloud-based applications and services.
- Lead backend development initiatives with a strong focus on code quality, performance, maintainability, and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices across the development team.
- Drive continuous improvement of development workflows, tooling, testing, and deployment processes.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and development approaches where appropriate.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with a team of software engineers and technical stakeholders.
- Support a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture.
- Contribute to sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and cross-functional project delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members when needed.
Cloud & DevOps
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using modern provisioning tools.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation processes.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response best practices.
- Contribute to security, compliance, and vulnerability management initiatives.
Product Delivery
- Collaborate with business and product stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Deliver high-quality features and enhancements within agreed timelines.
- Integrate and maintain third-party services, APIs, and payment platforms.
- Ensure platform availability, scalability, security, and data integrity.
