The QA Engineer works within one or more Scrum development teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our SaaS product. This role focuses on manual testing and quality advocacy during the development lifecycle, while progressively upskilling in test automation as part of our shift-left testing strategy. QA Engineers collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, and SETs to define edge cases, acceptance criteria, and test coverage.

Manual Testing & Sprint Activities

• Participate in backlog refinements and 3 Amigo sessions to define clear, testable acceptance criteria and edge cases.
• Perform manual testing of user stories and bug fixes during the sprint.
• Conduct regression testing before releases to ensure product stability.
• Log, track, and retest defects in collaboration with developers.

• Act as a quality advocate within the Scrum team, promoting best practices in testing and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with developers to understand implementation details and identify potential risks early.
• Provide feedback on usability, performance, and edge cases during development.
• Collaborate with SETs to identify manual tests suitable for automation.

• Maintain test cases, test plans, and test documentation.
• Report on test coverage, defect trends, and release readiness.
• Contribute to retrospectives with insights on testing effectiveness.

• Begin learning test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium).
• Contribute to building and maintaining automated regression test suites over time.
• Collaborate with SETs to adopt automated testing practices and tools
