HR Generalist
Client based in US
Full-time, Mon-Fri (9 pm – 5 am PH Time)
Key Responsibility:
- Recruits, interviews, screens and tests all applicants, including assessing when additional staffing is required, whether applicants are qualified for a position.
- Makes initial hiring recommendation or decision. Involved in and approves all decisions regarding termination of employment or any other adverse action towards employees.
- Counsels management regarding employee relations matters, including termination decisions, and provides advice regarding potential legal and other risks.
- Develops and administer performance management system for all employees, including counseling managers and supervisors regarding performance reviews and assessments.
- Develops and updates compensation program for all employees, including approving any compensation changes recommended by managers or supervisors, assuring compliance with applicable legal requirements, and conducting periodic compensation and benefits surveys and assessments.
- Responsible for ensuring legal compliance by identifying legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Maintains historical human resources files and other documents in compliance with applicable federal and state laws.
- Ensures caregiver files are maintained in accordance with requirements of various contractual and legal obligations.
- Maintains employee statistics for government reporting and prepares and submits such reports.
- Develops, maintains, updates and conducts new employee orientations to foster positive attitude toward agency goals.
- Verifies valid nursing licenses with appropriate licensing body.
- Maintains current and complete personnel records for all field staff employees including, but not limited to reference and background clearances, CPR certification, driver’s license, participation in benefit plans, performance reviews, and terminations.
- Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relation issues.
- Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier.
- Provides pertinent documentation to the Staff Coordinators and Operations Managers on employee performance, positive and negative.
- Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation.
- Represents agency at personnel-related hearings and investigations, including unemployment hearings.
- Conducts annual personnel evaluations of direct care givers.
- Works as a part of the team to improve caregiver’s retention and satisfaction with the job.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Administrator.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field
- 3–5 years of relevant HR experience
- Exposure to multiple HR functions: recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation & benefits, training, etc.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and confidentiality
