Job Description
We're looking for 1 Mid-level Bookkeper to work for our client in Australia!
DUTIES:
- Client bookkeeping as per client requirements, including but not limited to:
- Bank reconciliations
- AR & AP reconciliations
- Customer statement distribution
- Bills processing including forex transactions (using Receiptbank and Hubdoc)
- Working with client to resolve bookkeeping queries
- Processing journal entries as required
- General ledger reconciliations
- Keeping clients fixed asset registers up to date
- BAS review, prepare supporting work papers & attending to GST reconciliations
- Draft BAS for review by partner (Xero Tax)
- Draft management accounts for review by partner
- Client payroll & annual Payroll compliance preparation to be lodged with ATO
- Preparation of Taxable Payments Annual reporting information for lodgement to ATO
- Client quarterly superannuation reconciliations, prepare supporting work papers & provide
reports for lodgement
- Client ASIC compliance duties
- Other ASIC lodgements
- New client setup on Chartfords internal systems
- Tax season “work-in” procedures
- Notice of Assessment procedures
- Client communications, such as reminder emails when BAS, super, tax, etc is due
- Other admin and client tasks as they pop up
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience
- Hold an accounting qualification
- Good understanding of general bookkeeping principles
- Solid experience in a bookkeeping role (3 – 5 years)
- Solid experience working with Australian clients (1 - 2 years)
- Solid experience in Australian Tax ( 1- 2 years)
- Excellent written and verbal English
- Pro-active and a quick learner
- Energetic, enthusiastic and eager to grow
- Team player
- Customer service orientated
Technology
-XERO, MYOB, QUICKBOOKS are REQUIRED
- Microsoft Office is essential
- Receiptbank & Hubdoc would be great

Technical requirements that will drive this role to a success:
- Educational background
- Excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and listening
- WFH set-up ready. With at least 5 Mbps internet, minimum PC requirements of i3, 4GB RAM, dual monitor
